While their biggest international exposure was a cameo in the Tarantino flick Kill Bill, 5.6.7.8’s are much more than one-hit wonders, bearing the proud distinction of being the prime and longest-enduring Japanese garage rock girl band. The 5.6.7.8’s is the brainchild of the sisters Ronnie “Yoshiko” Fujiyama and Fujii Sachiko, and it reflects their love for music of the ’50s to the ’80s, bluntly alluded to in the group’s name.

The band just released a new album in 2026 “Run Run Run” to celebrate their 40 years anniversary !
